HouseHunt’s First ‘Top Performer of the Year”

(June 15, 2003) Huntington Beach, CA - Dick Lobin of CENTURY 21 Beachside Realtors in Huntington Beach, CA, has topped off a fantastic year by being named the HouseHunt “Top Performer of the Year” for 2002 by Mike Bearden, President and CEO of HouseHunt, Inc.

“Dick is a perfect example of how a traditional real estate practitioner can leverage the power of technology to substantially increase profits and truly build a predictable long-term income stream,” Bearden said. “Dick has always known the value of building a “people bank,” but over the past few years he has incorporated Internet leads and the marketing and follow-up tools available through HouseHunt to take his business to the next level.”

While a majority of real estate agents would be extremely happy to generate $200,000 per year in commissions, Lobin earned nearly that just from HouseHunt.com and HomeValueHunt.com leads in 2002. "I would say that almost 20% of my business comes from HouseHunt leads," said Lobin, who earned nearly $1 million in commissions in 2002 and was one of the Top 10 CENTURY 21 agents in the nation. He was inducted into the CENTURY 21 International Hall of Fame at the franchiser’s convention held recently in San Diego. His income from HouseHunt alone was $191,000.

Lobin uses both of HouseHunt, Inc.'s exclusive lead generation systems: HouseHunt.com and HomeValueHunt.com. By using both, Lobin saw an increase in the percentage of double-ended transactions he was able to close in 2002.

"I estimate that I received an additional 10 listings last year from HomeValueHunt.com that led to double-sided transactions," Lobin said. "Each one of those added an additional $10,000 to my bottom line. And we really haven't fully utilized the system to its fullest. I would anticipate that we could see at least a 25% increase in our HouseHunt generated business this year."

One of the secrets to Lobin's success has been his commitment to follow HouseHunt's proven business model and follow-up systems. Lobin has created a database of more than 1,200 prospects from HouseHunt leads that has is incubating in the TIM system.

"The TIM system has been just incredible," Lobin said. "All I have to do is enter the client info, set them up on an automated campaign -- either to match buyer's needs with new listings that come on the market or to stay in touch with sellers until they are ready to move -- and wait for them to call me. TIM does all the work and I reap all the benefits."
